Rimma Ayzen’s practice focuses on commercial and business litigation in federal and state courts.  Prior to joining Russo PLLC in late 2018, she was an associate at Kasowitz Benson Torres LLP, where her experience encompassed complex securities litigation — including lawsuits arising out of the 2007-8 financial crisis — as well as white collar defense, employment litigation, adversary proceedings in bankruptcy court, and various commercial and real estate disputes. While at Kasowitz, Rimma also completed a secondment in Europe, advising a foreign bank in connection with collateralized debt obligations and related issues. Rimma’s pro bono activities have included the preparation of Holocaust restitution claims, and representation of clients seeking asylum, including obtaining asylum for an individual from Togo.

Rimma graduated from Barnard College, magna cum laude, and received her law degree, magna cum laude, from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she was a member of the Cardozo Law Review. Rimma is admitted to practice in the States of New York and New Jersey and before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.  She was born in Ukraine and is fluent in Russian.
