Gasper Li brings a diverse, international perspective to commercial litigation and International arbitration.
Education & Experience
Gasper holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Southwest University of Political
Science and Law in China. Through the Erasmus program, he furthered his legal
studies in European Commercial Law at Ghent University (Belgium) and
Universidad Pontificia Comillas (Spain). This diverse academic background has
shaped his multi-jurisdictional approach to legal practice, combining dispute
resolution experience with global perspective. He later earned an LL.M. from
Penn State Law, with a concentration in commercial law and dispute resolution.
Before joining Russo PLLC, he gained experience at the China International
Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (“CIETAC”) and boutique
arbitration firms in Asia, specializing in cross-border litigation, international
arbitration and international trade.
Bar Admissions
Mr. Li is a law clerk (admitted to the New York Bar). He also holds the Securities Qualification Certificate of China, enabling him to practice securities under PRC regulations.
Beyond The Courtroom
Gasper is fully committed to advocacy and justice. In China, he dedicated over a
year to pro bono legal services, assisting underserved communities through a legal
clinic.
He has also excelled in international moot courts. As an oralist and researcher, he
represented Penn State Law at the 31 st Willem C. Vis International Commercial
Arbitration Moot in New York and Vienna, Austria. He later served as an
arbitrator at the CIETAC CUP in Beijing and the Vis Pre-Moot at Fordham
University in New York.
Fluent in Mandarin Chinese, English and Spanish, he seamlessly navigates
complex legal matters across multiple languages and jurisdictions, making him an
invaluable asset to clients facing cross-border disputes.
